Notion's MCP endpoint adds support for protocol version 2026-07-28

Notion's developer changelog states that its Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint now supports protocol version 2026-07-28. It is the first vendor adoption to land after the release-day cluster of 2026-07-28 announcements.

Notion's developer changelog entry dated August 3 states that the Notion MCP Streamable HTTP endpoint at https://mcp.notion.com/mcp now supports MCP protocol version 2026-07-28. The transport is named as Streamable HTTP. The changelog gives no version number for the server itself.

The same page carries earlier MCP entries from July 14 (access tokens extended to about eight hours from one hour), July 15 (token responses gain top-level user_id, workspace_id, and email_domain fields), and July 17 (the notion-fetch tool's self response gains a current_tool_access map). As of August 6 the newest entries on the page are dated August 5 and concern formula and rollup property values and JavaScript SDK 5.24.0, neither MCP-related.

This is the first vendor adoption named against 2026-07-28 that landed after the release-day announcement cluster.
