About MCP News
MCP News is a factual catalog of the Model Context Protocol ecosystem. Every published record carries at least one primary source URL, a verification date, and a calibrated confidence score; records below 0.8 are withheld.
What this site is
MCP News catalogs the Model Context Protocol ecosystem as a set of verifiable facts: 2 servers and 1 clients with publisher, access, and spec-revision support records; 5 specification revisions with adoption tracking; a glossary of protocol concepts; and a news feed limited to stories with primary sources.
The catalog answers questions that change frequently and are painful to verify by hand: Is there a first-party MCP server for this service? Which spec revision does it support? Has it migrated to the stateless 2026-07-28 core? What changed in the latest revision, and who ships it?
How facts are verified
Every fact-bearing record carries sources[] (label, URL, access date), a verified_at date, a verification_method, and a calibrated confidence score between 0.0 and 1.0. Sources must be primary: vendor repositories, official announcements, the official MCP Registry, the specification text, or direct endpoint probes. A record that cannot be verified is recorded as unknown with lowered confidence rather than guessed at.
Records below the 0.8 confidence threshold, or missing required provenance, are excluded from every public surface. Moderation is a state, not a place in the catalog: what you can read here has already cleared the gate.
Negative and unverified facts are first-class
"Support for the current revision is not confirmed" is a recorded, dated fact, not a gap. The adoption tracker deliberately shows unverified entities alongside verified ones, because during a migration window the unverified set is the useful worklist.
Consuming this site programmatically
Every catalog page has a raw-markdown sibling (append .md), the whole catalog is summarized at /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt, and a read-only MCP server is available at /mcp. The full data model is documented at /AGENTS.md.
