Anthropic says 2026-07-28 support is rolling out across Claude products, without per-product dates

Anthropic marked the 2026-07-28 release with a post describing what the revision changes for Claude and stating, twice and without dates, that support is being rolled out across Claude products. The post frames the revision as three changes: the stateless core, standardized extensions with MCP Apps and Tasks under a versioned framework, and authorization hardening aligned with production OAuth 2.0 and OIDC deployments.

Four Claude-side capabilities are named. MCP Apps render interactive UI from a connector directly in the conversation. Enterprise-managed auth lets admins provision MCP connectors organization-wide through their identity provider, with users inheriting access via existing IdP groups. Observability dashboards give developers of published connectors adoption, error, and latency breakdowns across Claude surfaces. And MCP tunnels, in research preview, connect Claude to MCP servers inside private networks without public endpoints or inbound firewall rules.

The post carries two adoption figures worth recording as vendor-stated claims: the Claude connectors directory now lists over 950 MCP servers used by millions of people every day, and MCP recently surpassed 400 million monthly SDK downloads, a fourfold increase this year.

What the post does not contain matters for the tracker: no version numbers, no per-product availability, and no completion date. This records as an announcement of forthcoming support, not a verified adoption milestone for any specific Claude surface.
